In one of our most exciting recent collaborations, we had the opportunity to design and manufacture a Coca Cola display stand that not only aligned with the brand’s strong image but also incorporated environmentally conscious materials and aesthetic appeal.

This case study outlines the process we followed in delivering a successful custom display wooden stand, which served as a central visual anchor in a nationwide beverage marketing campaign.

The Challenge

Coca-Cola approached us with a clear brief: design a Coca Cola display stand that could be deployed across retail chains, grocery stores, and promotional events. The requirements were straightforward but demanding:

  4. The design had to integrate multiple materials – particularly wooden display shelf components – while remaining visually cohesive and brand-appropriate.

Design Ideation: Merging Form with Function

We started by holding a series of ideation meetings with Coca-Cola’s in-house marketing and merchandising teams. From the beginning, they emphasized the importance of using real materials – no plastic imitation. They wanted a wooden display shelf that didn’t just look like wood but felt like it too.

To balance durability and cost, we proposed a hybrid structure: a metal frame for internal support, paired with real pinewood panels for the shelving and side profiles. The outer panels were treated with a matte finish to give the display wooden stand a handcrafted, vintage feel – in line with Coca-Cola’s classic Americana aesthetic.

The visual focal point was the header sign – an arched red panel featuring Coca-Cola’s script logo, crafted with a UV embossed technique to make it pop from a distance.

Material Selection & Engineering

While the client was committed to the look of wood, we also had to consider the practical limitations of using natural materials in high-traffic retail environments. Our engineering team recommended high-pressure laminated plywood for the wooden display shelf sections, providing the required durability while keeping the weight manageable.

Each display wooden stand included:

Four open wooden display shelves, each reinforced with metal brackets to carry heavy products.

Laser-engraved Coca-Cola branding on the side panels, highlighting the heritage theme.

An optional top lightbox for premium retail locations, powered by a battery-operated LED strip.

A modular knock-down design that allowed the Coca Cola display stand to be flat-packed and shipped efficiently.

Prototyping & Client Feedback

We created a full-size prototype within three weeks and shipped it to Coca-Cola’s regional office for evaluation. Their feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Manufacturing & Quality Control

Once the design was finalized, we entered the production phase. Our supply chain was optimized for projects involving wood and metal hybrids.   3. Load test – each shelf had to support 50 kg without deformation
